Faculty members were extremely supporting in sharing their knowledge and experience and TRANSFORMING the same. We had faculties from corporate, which was most enjoyable and memorable to me. Not to stop myself in confessing that; it was my second home to vest with fantastic faculties. I would like to mention the one's whom I loved and craved for their sessions: Dr M Ambashankar , Dr.Joy Mukhopadhyay, Ms.Smitha, Prof. Guy Langvardt and ever inspiring director of IAU - Ryan Doan. I have always enjoyed Dr. Ambaji's sessions which was real time brain storming ; not mearly classroom but my communication of thoughts on the subject matter, which has helped me carry further. "Ambaji, I loved your sessions".

All the subjects we had during the course were very pragmatic and dynamic. I did work on real time case studies citing economic scenarios of the globe. Working on live case studies, presentations, discussions and brain-storming sessions stood classic and out did conventional teaching. These teaching strategies has made me understand the purpose and the concepts; the best.

MBA programme from International American University - GCMAT, has transformed me to get stronger, confident and has molded me A PROFESSIONAL to face the open challenges; at the world outside. I call it a boon to have graduated from IAU and pride the honor! For I remain thankful for giving this wonderful opportunity to IAU - GCMAT.

I would always suggest people to choose IAU- GCMAT, cause the learning experience and exposure is impeccable. To me it was goal driven, inspiring and motivating. I could enrich my potentials, my skills and competencies; that has equipped me to face the corporate challenges. This instills a confidence towards MY GOAL DRIVEN DREAMS. I realise "Nothing is impossible".

The methodology in distance learning is a tricky one with most schools and to that effect  I was surprised when I was given priority as an international student who was studying in different time zones. Though my previous PGDM did help, it was instructors and professors at IAU who made me feel belonged with their pro-active and timely guidance to ensure not only am I well prepared with my tutorials before my exams but also for all my project related work.

I am an entrepreneur and someone who has risen through the ranks working in Fortune 500s before launching NetworkPlay in India and therefore the instinct of building business was extremely high and to that effect the marketing, operational excellence and proccesses driven subjects were all very intuitive for me to get highly involved during the program. All relevant tutorial guidelines, online library access and reference course material online were all made available whenever I needed them.

I already had embarked into a successful career and doing this course for me was more to refresh my mind and get prepared after 10 yrs of no tradional learning, which was the same reason why I also went to Harvard last summer. Preparing for ones career is a constant process and it is on the individual to determine what kind of learnings help one keeps abreast with latest techniques and also in tune with times in the changing world of business and economy. Keeping that as perspective I think that all the learnings has only added to my repeteiore of being a thorough professional.

All foreign students who are either going to the campus or doing the distance education program can be rest assured that all electives at IAU are designed keeping in mind student's pre-requisites, availability of time of the student/professional and their desire to learn. This is in itself is very different to most institutions world wide and therefore it is a highly flexible bunch of teachers and administrators who will ensure you win at all times.

Sanil Kimmatkar, MBA, 2010
"The best way to predict your future is to create it."

Impelling words Sanil Kimmatkar, 23, have spent his past years living by.

Like many other international students, Sanil faced incredible amounts of hardships upon his arrival in the United States. The major differences in culture as well as language barriers and steep tuition fees can take a toll on a then 20-year-old student from India. But nothing can hold Sanil back from creating his own future.

In December 2007, two years after enrollment, Sanil received his bachelor’s degree in the business field of Information Technology at International American University (IAU). He then decided to obtain his master’s degree in Management at Lincoln University, accredited by ACICS, located in Oakland, Calif. Student fees became an uphill battle for Sanil, in which he would work double shifts at Taco Bell and a cellular phone retail store. “I use to start my day by working in a cell phone shop, attend school during lunch time, and then finally end my day by working in Taco Bell,” Sanil reminisced.

Keeping up with payments of student fees had reached its critical peak, and Sanil had to take time off from the university. Sanil said he felt frustrations, but it couldn’t deter him from his life course. Sanil ultimately came to the conclusion that IAU was the best choice in continuing his higher education and enrolled for the MBA program in January 2008.

IAU has the credentials in creating knowledgeable students that are strong enough to deal with the real world and achieve goals in their lives,” Sanil said.

I enjoyed the standard pace of instructions at IAU that was designed to accommodate every student in the class, I was pleased to find the instructors being open-minded and quite flexible to the specific student needs. I have found the faculty and staff eager and willing to help students to achieve their education goal with ease.

IAU's MBA is a well designed program, based on the best and up-to-date curriculum in the market. Although the whole program was a great experience, the subjects that won my interest the most were Business Law, Marketing, and Operations Management. And finally, I enjoyed the MBA Capstone project where I got the chance to utilize all the skills and techniques learned during my MBA. The online resources remained available during the entire study program. I benefited from the school library. In fact, I still owe them one book.

a) During my first term I had a subject 'Business Career Strategies'. It was like a roadmap on how to make the best out of the entire program. It helped me in discovering my character type and gave me the knowledge and skills to polish my aptitude further.

b) SCORE Entrepreneurship project was a great experience as it allowed me to interact with industry professionals that helped me a lot in building my confidence and skill set. It was like a networking hub where I got the opportunity to meet real working professionals. I also got exposed to Linkedin initally, and now I have 1000+ professional connections!

At IAU, the general class size is reasonable enough to allow every student to participate in the class and for the instructors to answer their individual questions. I liked the hybrid study programs as it allows students to take the classes at campus as well as online at their own pace.

I feel very comfortable communicationg with IAU Staff who are down-to-earth persons and ready to lend a helping hand to me any time I need especially Ryan Doan, Maylin Mendez, and Pauline Kim. They provided exceptional and commendable services to me.

Apart from gaining the knowledge through learning and studying the course materials, there are others that are applicable to planning career. The career counseling department plays an intrumental role in assisting the student get a potential job.

To me, learning business communication and strategy is really important as we prepare for a new role. Specifically, seeking career advice or couseling from the school is benefiting the students like me.

Needless to say, referral or networking is very important as well. If we know someone who has been working in a particular company for a while and has been of a great asset to the company, which can be very helpful to us as potential job seekers especially fresh graduates. This is how I got my first administrative job here in the United States.

I strongly recommend working students or adults who want to upgrade their skills and knowledge in order to advance their career within the organzation or elsewhere to pursue online BBA or MBA programs here at IAU. It is partly because of the flexibility of the program as you can work on the courses from any where internet access is available. You can do your assignment any time as you get spare time as long as you meet the deadline. IAU has perfect online course module to meet all your needs. I would therefore like to express my heartfelt gratitude to IAU for making it possible.

Lam Nguyen, MBA, 2011

My name is Lam Nguyen and I am a recent graduate of the MBA, Class of 2011 program.  This experience has given me the opportunity to truly grow in my education, apply the theories taught in the courses to practical use in my personal business venture and aided my acceptance into a medical graduate program.  IAU's program gave me leverage at Mount St. Mary College in Los Angeles for my graduate program.  The courses are well taught and challenged my thinking.  The MBA program truly sets the bar for a great higher education institution because we are encourage to think outside the box, yet still adhere to a tradition school of thought.  I am amazed at my progress and what I have learned during the program.  IAU's staff and faculty truly encouraged and support my education; I am truly grateful and appreciative of the program.  Today, as an alum, I am furthering my education at a medical graduate school, but I know I will apply my knowledge and the education I received at IAU in my future endeavors.  Thank you again, IAU for the education and the foundation for future growth.

Ronald Wade Agin, Jr., BBA, 2007

International American University provided the flexibility that I needed. At the time I attended IAU, I was an active Marine. When I was on active duty, it was almost impossible to attend any school. IAU brought to me the possibility to continue studying without stopping my service to my country.

Once I was discharged, my Bachelor of Business Administration degree helped me to negotiate my salary at Allergan Pharmaceuticals, Irvine, CA where I was hired as a Clinical Research Assistant.

The staff is well qualified and helpful and the curriculum is balanced yet demanding. Without hesitation, I strongly recommend IAU to any and everyone seeking a relevant, immeasurable and affordable alternative to the traditional brick and mortar schools.
