The California State Approving Agency for Veterans Education (CSAAVE) has approved IAU to train eligible veterans and dependents under the GI Bill and Dependents Education Assistance programs.

IAU has been granted various approvals by the State of California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE).
First, the Los Angeles main campus received FULL approval for five years. The approval is valid for
five years from December 15, 2011 - December 14, 2016. Five
years is the maximum approval the BPPE grants.
Second,
IAU is officially approved to operate the Orange
County branch campus. IAU’s branch campus
is located in Tustin, Orange County, CA, which
is approximately 48 miles south of the Los Angeles
main campus.
Thirdly, IAU received approval to offer new certificate and degree programs in accountancy. These programs are offered under the CAS Academy.

IAU's "Change of Location" petition to the Student and Exchange Visitor Program
(SEVP), School Certification Branch was approved.
This application process was initiated in Fall
of 2010 upon moving to Los Angeles.

IAU's
School of Business and Technology "teaches
out" its information technology degree programs
and changes its name to be the School of Management
and Administration. By focusing on its business
administration programs, IAU prepares to undergo
preparation to seek additional approvals
and recognitions. The School of Business and Technology is renamed the School of Management & Administration.

IAU
relocates its facilities back to Los Angeles.
Students coming from different parts of the world
would be able to experience the diversity that
Los Angeles has to offer. Further, Los Angeles
County is home to Korea-town, China-town, Little
Tokyo, Little India, Little Persia, and a host
of other cultures.

IAU
received its approval by the U.S. Immigration
and Customs Enforcement (ICE) of the Department
of Homeland Security (DHS) to accept and enroll
foreign, non-immigrant F-1 students for academic
degrees and English language training.
Jan 2008
IAU relocates its facilities from Los Angeles
to Palmdale, CA. Further, IAU establishes CAS Academy, a department under the
School of Business and Technology. By partnering
with a successful Los Angeles-based accounting
school, IAU attracts students with aspirations
of becoming licensed California Certified Public
Accountants (CPA).
Jul 2007
IAU
entered into a Voluntary Agreement with the Director
of the Department of Consumer Affairs. The agreement
would apply retroactively to July 1, 2007. The
agreement would require IAU to comply with California
statutes, rules, and regulations pertaining to
private postsecondary educational institutions
or pertaining to non-WASC regionally accredited
institutions as defined in Section 94740.5 of
the Education Code, as it existed on June 30,
2007, in effect as of the close of business on
June 30, 2007.
Feb 2007
IAU
receives an extension by the BPPVE on its approval
to operate. IAU continues to operate legally and
ethically, expanding its presence in southeast
Asia and the Middle East.
Sep 2006
MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE OF AMERICA, INC. legally changed its name
to the INTERNATIONAL AMERICAN UNIVERSITY, INC.,
with its emphasis on international business and
informatiaon technology education.

Management
Institute of America (MIA) sought CA State approval
in 2006. MIA received its initial license to operate
by the State of California Bureau for Private
Postsecondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE)
to grant degrees under the provisions of the California
Education Code, Section 94900.
